Former Industry and International Trade Minister, Nkosana Moyo, says he will contest in the 2018 presidential election against his former boss President Robert Mugabe and several others.
Moyo made the announcement in Harare today and indicated that he will contest under a new opposition party called the Alliance for the People's Agenda.
The former Zimbabwean cabinet minister resigned his post under protest in 2001 and left for South Africa after claiming that he was unable to work under Mr. Mugabe, whose party lacked vision and trust of the electorate.
President Mugabe called him a coward, noting that Moyo was spineless.
