Kingdom Prosperity Ministries leader Pastor Rodney Chipoyera was duped of more than US$7000 in a botched car deal.
This came to light in a matter in which Terrence Kajese, 28, appeared in court being charged of theft of trust property.
It is alleged in January 2015 Kajese was given two vehicles, BMW 320i and a Mercedes Benz CLK by Chipoyera to sell on his behalf.
It is alleged Kajese went on to sell the BMW by a swap and top to which he was given a pick-up truck and money.
The man of cloth only received the money after the truck was sold and not the top up money for the BMW.
It is alleged after realizing the offence the man of cloth took back his Mercedes Benz.
It is further alleged Kajese promised the pastor that he would import another car on his behalf and asked him to top up US$3200.
Chipoyera is alleged to have given Kajese the money and waited for his car which never came.
This did not go well with the man of cloth who made a police report leading to Kajese's arrest.
Kajese is expected to appear back in court on September 21.
