Mthwakazi Republic Party President Mqondisi Moyo, the NEC leadership and provincial leaders from the four provinces of Mthwakazi addressed another rally at Kumbudzi village Matabeleland South on Saturdy.
The first rally of Mthwakazi Republic Party was conducted on the 10th of June at Gwandavale the home stead of the MRP president Mqondisi Moyo. The second rally was undertaken at Mtshazo on the 1st of July. The third one was carried out at Simbumbumbu. The other rallies were conducted at Mpumelelo and Cross Zenka at Nkayi respectively.
The party said hundreds of people attended the successful rally which was mainly dominated by the youths.
"It was also an opportunity for the party leadership to introduce the MRP candidate for UMzingwane constituency cde Honest Moyo, who was well received by the villagers, and earlier on the aspiring MP candidate had organised a tournament for four male youth teams and two female netball teams and all the participating teams were each handed a match ball and prize monies were also given for teams which came best in the tournaments," said MRP.
"The youths appreciated this gesture from their aspiring Candidate who is also youthful and vowed to rally behind the party and promised to overwhelmingly vote for cde Honest Moyo, as he represent the people's revolutionary party which the youths declared, "we feel this is the party which has our aspirations at heart."
Dalubuhle Ndlovu declared in front of the crowd that, "if there is a party to vote for, it is MRP as we feel it is the only party which understands our plight as the people of Matabeleland especially us young people.
Their agenda is clear and we are fed up of these Harare led parties for the first time in my life this time I am registering to vote as before I could not waste my precious vote to ZANU PF and MDC T which has proven to be a replica of ZANU PF.
In his address the MRP President Cde Mqondisi Moyo thanked the youths from Kumbudzi for coming in large numbers to the rally.
"This is our sixth rally but in all the other five rallies we had before my colleagues will agree with me that so far Kumbudzi has come best in terms of the massive support we see here," said the party.
The President started by enlightening the villagers on the Mthwakazi history and the inequalities that Mthwakazi people go through the perpetuation of the 1979 grand plan much to the agreement by everyone who was in attendance, that the time has come for the Mthwakazi people to stand up to defend their territory and define their destiny.
The youths nearly manhandled an elderly man whom they described as Nkala a war veteran from ZANU PF who had wanted to stop the President from addressing the masses , the youths charged to the man who was in his early 60s and told him that they do not benefit anything from ZANU PF government, charged one youth,
Moyo had no kind words for ZAPU and MDC led by Professor Welshman Ncube.
"We are highly disappointed about these parties. How can MDC join hands with Morgan Tsvangirai the person who plotted the downfall of prof Ncube in 2005 when MDC first split in Harare where Prof Ncube and his colleagues from Matabeleland were severely beaten by Harare thugs under the instructions of Morgan Tsvangirai," said the party.
"This is the same Morgan Tsvangirai who with Robert Mugabe and Arthur Mutambara blocked Prof Ncube from becoming a principal in the government of national unity. We all know what happened, the trio connived to ensure that Prof Ncube won't be anyway nearer."
The party said it is Tendai Biti who during the government of national unity refused to release $20 000 000 for DIMAF to Prof Ncube who was by the time the ministry of industry and international trade.
It said this Biti did ensure that prof Ncube was to fail in his ministry due to lack of funds to resuscitate the industry which had already collapsed long before.
