Civic society has accused President Emmerson Mnangagwa of sidelining the youths and women in the appointment of cabinet ministers.

Mnangagwa appointed a 22 member cabinet which people condemned as composed of dead wood.

Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions Western Region Chairman Ambrose Sibindi said Mnangagwa has cycled old dead wood.

"People expectations have been dampened. l think the problem is that he removed those purported to be linked to G40 and replaced with the old dead wood are in support of the lacoste," he said.

#This Constitution leader Abigail Mupambi said his cabinet was a surprise scenario altogether, people had their eyes open with high hopes for change expecting to see new faces that might probably take their country out of this mess by correcting mistakes done by the previous team only to find out that almost the same faces are back now diluted by the militia.

"No youth representation!!!! No reasonable women representation !!! No hope at this point!!! Zimbabwe now needs God to intervene nothing else," she said.
