A Mushumbi man was arraigned before Guruve magistrate court yesterday after he was found in position of 31 kilograms of raw ivory.
Public prosecutor Albert Mazhindu told the court that Francis Mapfumo of Mazambara village was arrested on Saturday after he was reportedly found with elephant tusk valued at $7750 weighing 31kg which he wanted to sell.
A syndicate from Parks and Wildlife together MBCU masqueraded as buyers leading to his arrest.
Guruve magistrate Artwell Sanyatwe remanded in custody to 16 March 2018 for commencement of trial.
