Matemadanda celebration gala

Gokwe Centre will be a hive of activity tomorrow when musicians converge for a gala for Zanu-PF war veterans' secretary Victor Matemadanda at Mapfungautsi Primary School.
The party is meant to celebrate Matemadanda's elevation to the politburo as well as his appointment as war veterans' secretary.
Several musicians that include Jah Prayzah, Jah Signal and Boom Berto as well as many other dancehall stars are expected to perform at the event.
Organisers of the event said they were expecting to host more than 40 000 people and there was need to get top Zimbabwean entertainers at the event.
"All these musicians will be coming to perform and it will be pomp and funfair as they thrill thousands expected to grace the event," he said.
Jah Signal is arguably the most consistence dancehall artistes who has produced several hits.
His discography include "Unouya Rinhi", "Kweve", "Kuipa Kwemunhu" and his collaboration with Boom Berto that has been an anthem in most parts of the country.
The young artist is expected to prove his mettle as he is heading towards the peak of his career.
He said it will be an exciting moments sharing stage with his peer as well as the man who is ruling show biz in the country.
"I have been receiving calls from people in Gokwe because they are getting an appreciation of my music. It is good that we are going there to give our best," he said.
On the other hand Boom Berto famed for his song "Amai Makanaka" that became an anthem is geared for the event.
"It will not be my first time performing in Gokwe but this seem to be a massive event. We are well prepared for it," he said.
He said he has some new songs he will be performing at the event.
Several government officials are expected to grace the event that will see several musicians performing.
"I am humbled by what the people have done to me. I will only say a lot after the party," Matemadanda said.
