THE son of the special advisor to President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been appointed as to the Ariston Holding Limited board by the National Social Security Authority (NSSA).
This comes a few months after Neville Mutsvangwa was pampered as a board member at Zimbabwe National Parks.
Neville is the son to politicians Christopher and Monica Mutsvangwa. He was accused of raping a woman in August 2016.
Mutsvangwa has been Anjin's deputy sales and marketing manager.
A letter circulating on social media shows that Mutsvangwa has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Ariston Holding effect from 1st April 2018.
In 2011, DefenceWeb linked Neville Mutsvangwa with a consignment, apparently containing AK-47 ammunition mortar rounds and rocket-propelled grenades, which was addressed to Abaxis Enterprises a company he owned.
Last week, the NSSA board chairman Robin Vela was fired by Government under unclear circumstances. Without giving reasons for the decision, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Petronella Kagonye dismissed Vela through a March 27 letter.
From relative obscurity, Christopher Mutsvangwa and his wife Monica rose to become one of Zimbabwe's political power couples.
Mutsvangwa gained prominence in 2014 following his leading role in the dismantling of former vice-president Joice Mujuru's Zanu PF faction after claims that she was plotting to oust President Robert Mugabe.
The former Zimbabwe ambassador to China had become so powerful that at one time he had the temerity to chide his then boss Foreign Affairs minister Samuel Mumbengegwi in public.
Monica was a rising star in Zanu PF women's league led by First Lady Grace Mugabe.
