Norton Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa has invited under fire former MDC-T Spokesperson Linda Masarira to join him in the opposition ranks as an Independent politician without any attachment to a political party so that she can have the ability to manoeuvre between any party she wants.

Masarira was fired by the Thokozani Khupe led MDC after she was spotted wearing a ZANU PF regalia during a private ceremony at her in-law's place.

"I have always told you to be an independent as I am. As an independent, I can wear whatever I like, T-shirt for Chamisa, Mnangagwa or Khupe. No one whips me into line, I do it myself." Mliswa said.

"Come to where I am my sister as an independent, there is fresh air. No one chases you from Parliament and all I do is represent people."

In retaliation to her firing Masarira said opposition officials who are lawyers were associating with ZANU PF officials in court but no one was firing them.

Read her full statement below:

Did you know that after the legal aid from Job Sikhala, Supa Mandiwanzira was acquitted of zvese zvaaipommerwa? Did you know that with the legal aid from Chamisa and Mpofu, Zuva Company dismissed workers unfairly?

Did you know that with the legal aid from Tendai Biti, Gideon Gono escaped his corruption charges? The billion dollar question is: Why is it that opposition leaders only want to unite with ZANUPF in dealings that benefit them at personal level but they do not want to unite with ZANUPF on things that benefit ordinary Zimbabweans? There is no excuse for jecha. There is no excuse for disunity. That's pure greed at its best. Some things are better left undefended. Let us focus on reuniting Zimbabwe for prosperity and posterity
