The late national hero Retired General Vitalis Zvinavashe's first born son, Richard, has been dragged to court by his stepmother, Margaret, over allegations of domestic violence and unlawful entry.
The accused allegedly locked his stepmother out of a property in Tynwald, Harare, before changing the locks.
Richard (50) pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Stanford Mambanje.
The State alleges that on January 13 this year, Richard and his friend, Ellington Kanengoni, broke into Margaret's property, being the occupant by virtue of a lifetime usufruct.
It is alleged that the two scaled a precast security wall to gain entry and proceeded to change all the gate and house locks and immediately started occupying it.
It is further alleged that Richard produced a firearm and pointed it at Margaret, threatening to shoot her on the day in question.
