Woman soils self to escape rape at knife-point

A 21 year old woman from Matoto Village under Chief Serima in Gutu district has found a new trick to fight off a rapist; she soiled her undergarments just as an attacker was going for her.
John Mugova (25) of Plot number 22, Clere Farm in Chatsworth who attempted the rape after threatening Tauya with a knife is now serving nine years in jail after appearing before Gutu resident Magistrate Nyasha Vhitorini two weeks ago.
The court led by Agatha Gabriel heard that some time last month Mugova went to Matoto Village where he broke into the house in which Edwik was sleeping and stole a solar panel, a 1200 Nokia mobile phone and few other valuable items before producing a knife and ordering her to strip so that he could rape her.
The State further heard that Mugova who was wielding a knife ordered Edwick to bend and hold the bed. However, at this point Edwick who was so terrified failed to hold her bowls and soiled herself resulting in Mugova taking his loot and leaving her.
In his mitigation Mugova pleaded for leniency saying he did not rape his victim because he was put off after she soiled herself.
"Ndakasemeswa mushure mokunge azviitira tsvina ndichibva ndamusiya (I was put off after she soiled herself and I left her)," said Mugova
