Police issues temporal prohibition order

Zimbabwe Republic Police Guruve district issued a temporal prohibition order of carrying certain weapons in terms of section 4(1) of the maintainance peace and order section 11:23.
The order commenced on June 9 and will run for three months covering from Zambezi to Kanyemba district, to Mt Darwin and Bindura district areas.
Mashonaland central deputy spokesperson Assistant lnspector Naison Dhliwayo said the temporal probihition order way out in place by Chief Supritendant Officer Naison Hambira to curb escalation of violent and murder cases.
He said," Public display and carrying of catapults, machetes, knobkerries, daggers and any other traditional weapons within the stated period would result in 6months imprisonment, fine or both".
