COWDRAY Primary school pupils in Bulawayo have been learning under trees during the first term as the school has only two blocks for the over 1 700 learners enrolled.
Former Sidojiwe Housing Co-operative secretary Nhemia Kuzanga said it was dangerous for students at the government school to be learning under trees particularly in winter.
"Our plea to the government is that this winter is very cold and it is dangerous for students to be learning under incomplete buildings," Kuzanga said.
"Government should provide building materials so that these schools can be completed."
During a tour of the Cowdray Park Housing Co-operatives last week, Local Government minister, July Moyo said the government had been advised about the situation at the school and was looking into the issue
