Copper cable thieves in trouble

THREE Madziwa copper cable suspected thieves who were on a vandalizing spree in farms around Mashonaland Central province were finally arrested and dragged to Bindura magistrates courts on Friday.
Same Rusike (36), Charlse Chaparadza (39) and Owen Nyambudzi (38) appeared before magistrate Tinashe Ndokera and were not asked to plead to their charge.
They were remanded in custody to December 15.
The state-led by Edward Katsvairo alleged on December 5 around 3 pm the trio stormed Katumba farm, Bindura with a sack full of tools of vandalizing ZESA transformers.
Alerts residents saw them and gave a chase at them despite fleeing in different directions.
A sack full of their tools of trade was recovered on the scene.
Upon being interrogated by the police they revealed that they moved around farms in Mashonaland vandalizing ZESA transformers and stealing copper cables for resale.
