WATCH: Dr Obert Mpofu descends on Umguza with a heavy might

Thousands gathered in Umguza as the people of Umguza converged to celebrate Africa Day while interacting with the ZANU PF National Secretary-General Dr. Obert Moses Mpofu.
Dr. Obert Mpofu, the ZANU PF Secretary-General, made a significant impact during the gathering with the people of Umguza on the 25th of May 2024. The purpose of the meeting was to commemorate the revolutionary ideals of the ZANU PF party and its crucial role in championing an independent, self-sufficient, and economically advanced African continent.
Dr. Mpofu's address to the thousands gathered emphasized the importance of active involvement in the party at grassroots level and national development efforts to realize the Vision 2030 set forth by President Dr. E.D Mnangagwa. He called upon the residents of Umguza to demonstrate their loyalty to both the party and the President while staying focused on the collective development agenda.
Dr. Obert Mpofu chronicled the progress that had been made by the ruling party under the leadership of President E.D Mnangagwa.
The event witnessed a massive turnout, with thousands of individuals coming together to show their support and gratitude towards Dr. Mpofu. They lauded him for his humility and his ability to connect with the grassroots, a quality that resonated strongly with the people of Umguza. Nobuhle Dube from Ntabazinduna said "Obert Mpofu is a man of the people who is accessible and we talk to him like a father. He gives us guidance , wisdom and advice because he loves the people and the country."
Betina Thebe from Bulawayo added that "Obert Mpofu is not like other leaders who only come to the ground when it's election time. We thank Dr. Mpofu for coming to see us , talk to us and hear our concerns. He is a true revolutionary and a leader who follows the example of the President HE. CDE. ED MNANGAGWA.
Overall, the gathering served as a platform to reinforce the values and goals of the ZANU PF party and to inspire communal efforts towards a prosperous and progressive future aligned with the vision outlined for Zimbabwe.
