Drama: Murder suspect escapes from hospital

There was drama in Concession yesterday where a murder suspect fled from the hospital after discovering that he had killed a friend during a beer binge.


Givus Tapiwa Musindo (38) took to his heels after discovering that Godfrey Mushore had died after he assaulted him with shock absorber at a Shebeen in Eskbank Mazowe.

Sources familiar with the incident told Bulawayo24.com that Musindo was forced to escort people who hired a vehicle to the Concession hospital for treatment of the now deceased Mushore.

"Musindo severely attacked Mushore and we hired a vehicle to ferry the injured to Concession hospital but we forced the assailant to escort us to the hospital," the source said.

"Upon arrival Mushore was pronounced dead and Musindo fled from the scene," added the source.

It is further alleged that a man hunt for Musindo was conducted and Concession touts made a chase and caught the murder suspect in Dandamera, Concession.

The mob wanted to assault him but they eventually agreed to surrender him at Concession police where he was then detained.
