Imbiber stabbed over girlfriend

A 33-YEAR-OLD Man from Plumtree is battling for life after he was hit with an iron bar before being stabbed on right hand by two men at a local bottle store.
Lungisani Mlongwa is recovering from home after the attack.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates where the suspected assailants Freedom Ncube (30) and Ezra Ncube (40) appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
Nembaware remanded the duo in custody to tomorrow.
The state led by Selestine Madziwa alleged on February 8 the three were drinking beer and Freedom and Ezra accused Mdlongwa of snatching their girlfriend.
The duo became violent and assaulted the complainant with iron bar before stabbing him on the right hand with an okapi knife.
