The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has summoned Yadah Football Club to a disciplinary hearing after allegations that club officials assaulted their own goalkeeper following a league match.

The incident reportedly took place on August 22 when goalkeeper Godknows Gurure was confronted by team official Spencer Muvadi over a poor performance. Witnesses claim the altercation turned physical.

The PSL confirmed charges have been laid against both the club and Muvadi. The disciplinary hearing is scheduled for September 11 in Harare.

If found guilty, Yadah could face fines, points deductions, or other sanctions. "The league does not tolerate violence, whether directed at opponents, referees, or one's own players," a PSL statement said.

The case has stirred outrage among fans, with many calling for strong action to protect players' welfare.
