Principal arrested for indecent assault of students

A principal at a private school in Murehwa has been arrested over allegations of indecently assaulting four of his male students.
Hamilton Manyika, who is also a member of the Salvation Army church, was taken into custody at Juru Growth Point following reports from one of the students who disclosed the abuse during a counselling session.
Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest, stating that the assaults allegedly occurred on different days in Manyika's office.
"This man betrayed our trust and abused the children he is supposed to protect and educate," said one of the guardians of the victims.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence, while the students receive support to cope with the trauma.
