2 hrs ago | 36 Views
In a bizarre event that has left the community in shock. Workers at a mine in Shurugwi, near Totonga, are reportedly struggling financially to the extent that they are forced to feed on rats.
It is alleged that each evening, four mine workers, namely Ndunge, Giant, Grey, and Baba Kevy, along with one security guard known as Lodza, are in the habit of hunting rats and roasting them for meat.
The five workers are said to have refused the vegan diet that the mine owner and his joint venture partners are offering them. They said they would rather eat rats than eat soya chunks and cabbage. Some are saying it's the love for meat, but others are sceptical, saying it might be juju at work.
The gang leader for the rats brigade is one known as Ndunge, who also claims to be a traditional healer who is frequently possessed by some spirits.
Whether this is a money ritual or not, only time will tell.
