BAA disowns fake voting poll

Organisers of the Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) have dismissed circulating online polls claiming to be part of this year's voting process, stressing that no public voting will take place for any category except the People's Choice Award.

This clarification follows the emergence of a WhatsApp poll launched by a channel called All Things Bulawayo, which has already drawn thousands of participants. The BAA management has distanced itself from the poll, urging the public to ignore any such unofficial platforms.

The upcoming eighth edition of the awards will maintain the same adjudication system used last year, with professional judges selecting winners in all categories except the People's Choice Award.
