President Emmerson Mnangagwa has returned to Zimbabwe following a successful state visit to Mozambique, during which both countries agreed to elevate their cooperation under a Bi-National Commission framework.

The President was welcomed at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by Vice President Dr Kembo Mohadi, Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, senior government officials, and service chiefs.

During the visit, Zimbabwe and Mozambique signed three Memoranda of Understanding focusing on youth development, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and the implementation of previously agreed programmes.

The leaders also discussed addressing logistical bottlenecks at the Forbes Border Post, with plans to upgrade the facility into a One-Stop Border Post aimed at improving the flow of goods and enhancing regional trade efficiency.

Zimbabwe and Mozambique share long-standing cordial relations, with collaboration spanning economic, political, and security matters, a partnership further reinforced during Mnangagwa's visit.
