Scottland FC has announced the departure of Chief Executive Officer Ronald Moyo, confirming on Monday that the parting was amicable. Moyo, who previously served as CEO at Highlanders, spent one year at the helm of Mabvirawira before stepping down.
In a statement, Scottland FC expressed gratitude for his leadership and contributions. "Scottland FC would like to inform its stakeholders that the club and Chief Executive Officer, Ronald Moyo, have amicably parted ways. The club extends its sincere gratitude to Ronald Moyo for his commitment, leadership, and the time he dedicated to Scottland FC. His efforts and contributions to the club are truly appreciated. We wish him nothing but success and fulfillment in his future endeavors," the statement read.
Moyo had made headlines three weeks ago after being involved in a car accident while driving a company vehicle en route to Bulawayo for a holiday.
Confirming his departure on social media, Moyo wrote: "It's been a pleasure. What an experience it has been. All the best this season and beyond, team Mabvirawira."
Speculation is rife that Moyo could be joining the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) as the new CEO, replacing outgoing Yvonne Manwa, although no official confirmation has been made.
Moyo's exit marks another high-profile change in Zimbabwean football administration as clubs and governing bodies continue to undergo restructuring.
