Masimba Holdings has opened an additional five kilometres of the rehabilitated Bulawayo–Victoria Falls Road to traffic, marking continued progress on the vital highway connecting the southern regions of Zimbabwe to the resort town.

To date, a total of 45 kilometres of the highway, being upgraded by various contractors, has been made accessible to motorists. The government awarded tenders to eight contractors for the over 440-kilometre road rehabilitation project, which is slated for completion by the end of 2026.

Masimba Holdings project manager, Blessing Nhau, said the company remains on track to meet its targets. "We are still within our target of completing our allocated 50 kilometres by the end of the year, and we expect to open another five kilometres to traffic by the end of this month," he said.
