A Bulawayo marriage has been thrown into chaos after Eric Ncube discovered that his wife, Latoya Johanna Ndlovu, was allegedly involved in an affair with Thulani "Javas" Sibanda, the chief executive officer of Bulawayo Chiefs Football Club.

Speaking to B-Metro, Eric revealed that he has repeatedly tried to confront Javas about the matter but has been unable to secure a meeting. He claims he wants Javas to pay him, using the local term "ukuhlawula", for bedding his wife after discovering explicit messages on Latoya's phone.

Some of the messages reportedly include graphic content, including images and videos showing Javas in compromising positions, as well as chat exchanges detailing sexual encounters. Other messages indicate multiple rendezvous in December, with discussions about intimacy and even Latoya's menstrual cycle, suggesting the affair was ongoing and deliberate.

Eric, who has a three-year-old child with Latoya, said the problems started while he was working abroad. He relocated to Poland in 2024, having previously worked in South Africa, and continued to financially support his wife. The couple had previously experienced disputes, and Latoya reportedly moved in with her mother, where Eric alleges she began drinking and socialising with strangers.

Upon her return to Queens Park, Eric continued providing support, but the marriage deteriorated further. On 8 December, he said he discovered the WhatsApp messages confirming the affair. He also found evidence suggesting Latoya may have been communicating with another man, known only as BK.

Attempts to resolve the situation through confrontation, community elders, and direct requests to Javas reportedly failed. Eric said that while he initially sought accountability, Latoya later withdrew her support for his efforts. Tensions between the couple have also involved financial disputes, with Latoya allegedly claiming Eric's support was insufficient and questioning the validity of their marriage and lobola arrangements.

When approached for comment, Javas initially said he was in a meeting and requested to be contacted later, but he subsequently did not respond to calls or messages.

The situation highlights a deeply personal and public conflict intersecting marriage, social expectations, and prominent local figures, leaving Eric and his family embroiled in an ongoing struggle for resolution.
