First Lady launches youth vanguard at UZ

First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa has launched the Youth Vanguard Movement at the University of Zimbabwe, describing it as a transformative platform aimed at preparing and empowering young people for leadership.

Announcing the development on X, Mnangagwa said the launch took place on Saturday.

“Yesterday, I launched the Youth Vanguard Movement at the University of Zimbabwe, a transformative platform to prepare, inspire and empower our young people to become responsible, ethical and action‑oriented leaders," she posted.

She said the initiative promotes mentorship, discipline and practical skills while creating opportunities for young people to innovate, serve their communities and contribute to national development.

Mnangagwa urged youths to rise above fear and limitations.

“Together, we can build a united, empowered and prosperous nation," she said.
