Zanu PF dishes out groceries, bicycles in Mondoro during CAB3 campaign

The ruling Zanu PF party is reportedly distributing groceries and bicycles to villagers in Mondoro as part of its campaign to mobilise support for Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3 (CAB3).

Residents in the area said party officials have been moving through communities handing out food hampers and bicycles while urging citizens to back the controversial Bill, which seeks, among other provisions, to extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa's term of office.




The development has sparked debate, with critics arguing that the distribution of goods during a constitutional process undermines the integrity of public consultations and may amount to inducement.

Zanu PF officials in the district are said to be intensifying mobilisation efforts ahead of ongoing nationwide hearings on the Bill.
