There was drama at the High Court in Harare on Thursday when Citizens Against Economic Sanctions (CAES) leader Martin Zharare was arrested soon after court proceedings.
Sources close to the investigations told Bulawayo24.com that Zharare is now assisting police with inquiries.
"We arrested Zharare soon after his departure from the High Court where he was attending court, and he is currently in custody," a source said.
Checks by this reporter confirmed that Zharare was detained at Harare Central Police Station under DB number 5886‑26.
Allegations are that Zharare stole Presidential inputs in Mashonaland West province under the CAES name.
Meanwhile, Zharare is already facing similar charges in Mashonaland Central, where he allegedly duped two senior citizens of their hard‑earned money in a foiled Presidential borehole‑drilling scheme in Mount Darwin.
