HARARE – The Portfolio Committee on Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs will this week conduct public hearings across Zimbabwe on the Whistle Blowers and Witness Protection Bill (H.B. 4, 2026).
Running from 24 to 28 August 2026, the hearings will be held jointly with the executive of the African Parliamentarians Network Against Corruption. Two teams will cover all 10 provinces. Team A will be in Mashonaland Central, Mashonaland West, Midlands, Manicaland and Masvingo, while Team B will cover Mashonaland West, Midlands, Matabeleland North and South, and Bulawayo.
Venues include Chipadze Hall in Bindura, New Ambassador Hotel in Harare, Sakubva Belt Hall in Mutare, and Bulawayo Small City Hall, among others.
Parliament said all interested groups, organisations and members of the public are invited to attend and make oral or written submissions. Soft copies of the Bill are available on the Parliament website.
The Clerk of Parliament cautioned that “those wearing military uniforms, signs of ranks, flags and political party regalia will not have access to the public hearing.”
This development contributes to wider discussions around whistle‑blower protection and anti‑corruption reforms.
