The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training has invited members of the public to attend the First Lady's Doek and Zambia Drive scheduled for Friday at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre (ZIEC) in Bulawayo.
The event will be held in Hall 1 at the venue formerly known as the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).
According to the ministry, the event is expected to bring people together in a spirit of celebration, solidarity and unity, with a particular focus on young people, youth leaders, youth organisations and community groups.
"Youth and youth leaders, this is your call. Mobilise your peers, youth groups, clubs, associations and communities and be part of this landmark event," the ministry said in its invitation.
Transport will be provided to ferry members of the public to and from the venue, with pick-up points and transport arrangements to be coordinated by the ministry in collaboration with other Government ministries, departments and agencies.
Members of the public have also been encouraged to dress appropriately for the occasion.
Women attending the event have been invited to showcase creativity and cultural expression through Doek and Zambia outfits, in keeping with the theme of the gathering.
The ministry urged young people and community groups to take advantage of the event and participate in what it described as a landmark occasion aimed at promoting unity and togetherness.
