The Ministry of Mines and Mining Development has announced that the Deputy Cadastre Registrar's Office will suspend walk-in services from Monday, October 26, 2026, until further notice.
In a public notice, the ministry said the temporary suspension would allow staff to accelerate the rollout of the digital Mining Title Management System, which is intended to improve processing speed, transparency, accuracy and security.
Stakeholders have been advised to submit applications and supporting documents through their respective Provincial Mining Director's offices during the suspension.
For enquiries, the public can contact the ministry's toll-free number, 08004577, from Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm.
The ministry also warned stakeholders against fraud, stressing that it does not employ agents or charge fees for access to its services.
Members of the public who encounter anyone soliciting money in connection with the services have been urged to report the matter through the toll-free line, the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission or the police.
The ministry said a further public notice would be issued when walk-in services resume.
The notice was issued by the Secretary for Mines and Mining Development, Dr T. U. Wushe, who apologised for any inconvenience caused and appealed for stakeholder cooperation.
