Movement for Democratic Change leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, on Monday called on young Zimbabweans to register to vote after witnessing his twin children, Vincent and Millicent, register as first time voters.
Millicent and Vincent, 19, are the youngest of the MDC-T leader's six children with his late wife, Susan, who died in 2009.
Tsvangirai stood over as the twins added their names to the roll during a brief process.
Reporters were invited to the event which the Prime Minister's aides hope will inspire other youths to register ahead of a key vote later this year.
"Cabinet has taken some decisions to make voter registration easier for the people. We have a huge backlog of first time voters," Tsvangirai said during a photo opportunity at the Mt Pleasant registry office.
