After President Robert Mugabe's astonishing rebuke of his Information Minister, Jonathan Moyo has finally responded saying the Zimbabwean leader has every right to correct him.
Moyo, who is the architect of Zimbabwe's tough press laws, said Mugabe was like a father to him.
This is the first time Johnathan Moyo has publicly responded to President Robert Mugabe's astonishing attack last weekend.
Mugabe said Moyo was the devil incarnate and accused him of fermenting splits in the ruling Zanu–PF party.
Now Moyo has tweeted that Mugabe has every right to direct his powers and to correct him when he's wrong.
There's been speculation over what Mugabe's criticism meant for Moyo's future.
This tweet suggests that Moyo has accepted Mugabe's rebuke and may possibly change the openness he's brought to state media which is what appears to have upset the president.
The Hon. President Mugabe is like a father to me. He has every right to direct my paths and correct me when I do wrong. I admire my leader. - Jonathan Moyo (@Jonathanmoyo) June 14, 2014.
