The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) today released 10 names of Baba Jukwa suspects which include Wilf and Trish Mbanga, owners of the Zimbabwean newspaper.

The ZRP says it is still pursuing investigations to arrest other people accused of being administrators to babajukwa2013@gmail.com and Baba Jukwa Facebook page.

Wilf Mbanga has been denounced by the Zimbabwean government, his reporters have been threatened, and cartoonists have depicted him kneeling before Tony Blair, having his head patted.

The editor and publisher of The Zimbabwean has antagonised his former friend Robert Mugabe.

In May, the Sunday Mail reported that Wilf Mbanga lost an undisclosed amount of money to the Baba Jukwa syndicate after he arranged for the two journalists to run a column in his newspaper and to market the publication, believing they were senior Zanu-PF officials.

In a statement, ZRP national spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said these are:

Mxolisi Ncube (38) now based in South Africa, Walter Shoko and Samson Chifamba, both based in the United Kingdom.

The other accused is George Chirakasha, also based in the United Kingdom.

The police are also looking for Anomie Drew, Piniel Nhokodzi, Romeo Musemburi and Sarudzai Florence in connection with the same offence.

Senior Assistant Commissioner Charamba said the wanted persons are based in various global locations and network to post subversive articles on Baba Jukwa Facebook page.

She said the law will take its course on anyone engaged in subversive activities.
