Marvo have been accused of not paying workers for 21 months without and a source said chances for them to recover their money are slim, after claims that officials in the ministry of labour are allegedly taking bribes from employers in exchange to either making Judgements in their favour or simple delay the Court processes for years.
Workers claim that Marvo's judicial manager Mr Cresphen Mwete, who has reportedly not been seen at Marvo ever since he was appointed said in the press that Marvo machines are obsolete and that Marvo is being killed by cheap imports from South Africa.
Concerned workers have also claimed that Marvo machines are not obsolete and that it is also not true that cheap imports are affecting Marvo operations.
They said that Marvo, through Browns, is flooding the market with imported goods from South Africa especially from freedom stationery and Croxley private companies respectively.
"Currently more than half of Marvo warehouse is filled to capacity with imported finished goods in preparation for the lucrative back to school period.
"We believe that Marvo is not willing to pay its workers' salaries therefore they have now come up with a plan to import finished goods at the expense of Marvo factory and its workers.
"As we speak there are no raw materials yet we receive trucks every now and then bringing in imported finished goods.
"All the $758 000-00 received from Demaf was used to import finished goods.
"The management is neglecting its workers Marvo have no running BCC water since 2011 workers drink from buckets."
