Man loses wife to his neighbour

A 38-year-old Gweru man, Simon Maradze, was left cursing his ancestors after his wife was snatched by a neighbour right under his nose.
According to B-Metro, Maradze had his love of his life, Miriam Shoniwa (28) taken away by his neighbour Tapiwa Masaka (32).
Circumstances surrounding the matter are that Masaka and Shoniwa have been seeing each other for a while before Shoniwa left her home to stay with Masaka.
Maradze and Shoniwa have been together for two years after Maradze's first wife passed away.
The two started staying together in August 2012 after Maradze had paid lobola for Shoniwa and they have an 11-month-old baby together.
"My wife started to be too close to Masaka and that is when I suspected something was up. Masaka would call my wife and they would talk on the phone for long hours. One day I confronted her and she denied it," said the heartbroken Maradze.
"When I returned from work on 29 September, I discovered that she had taken all her belongings and that of our child and left. I called her relatives and none of them knew of her whereabouts until one neighbour told me he had seen her getting into Masaka's home in the afternoon. I have since told her relatives and my family so that they advice me on what to do", added Maradze.
Contacted for comment, Shoniwa said she left her husband because he was an abusive man and did not give her money for her upkeep and that of the child.
"I left him because he is a very abusive man. He always beats me up and would insult me sometimes. He does not even take care of me and our baby", she said.
