'Only 4 ministers will survive after Zanu-PF congress,' says analysts

Some political analyst believe that President Robert Mugabe's cabinet will be dysfunctional after Zanu-PF's 6th Congress. The main reason is that most of the ministers have been gammatoxed beyond recognition.
One analyst is of the opinion that only 4 current ministers will survive and come Monday, we will only have Oppah Muchinguri, Jonathan Moyo, Saviour Kasukuwere and Emmerson Mnangagwa as survivors. The current cabinet is comprised of 26 ministers.
"Even if Mugabe reshuffles his cabinet, the move would not improve the country in any way because Mujuru was viewed by the international community as a moderate compared to hardliners like Mnangagwa," said a commentator on condition of anonymity.
"The solution is not to be found in the proposed cabinet reshuffle. The entire system is no longer fit for purpose. It is beyond redemption. It is completely unable to extricate the nation from the present hell hole," added the analyst.
"Mugabe is notorious for surrounding himself with people who are beholden to him, who tell him only what he wants to hear, hence the necessity for him to recycle the same old deadwood whenever he undertakes a cabinet reshuffle."
Another analyst said even if a reshuffle is done, nobody expected anything new, despite the fact that Mugabe himself had occasionally complained about the inefficiency and ineptitude of some of his ministers. He memorably complained on one occasion that he was surrounded by thieves who were bent on becoming filthy rich in unacceptable ways.
Most of the current ministers are said to be aligned to the outgoing Vice President, Joice Mujuru.
