Mugabe fond of accusing more popular than him politicians of plotting to kill him

President Robert Mugabe has been accused of always making wild claims t6hat politicians who become popular than him want to assassinate him.

A member of the People First which is believed to be led by former vice president Joice Mujuru who was ousted in December 2014 after she was accused of plotting to kill Mugabe said it appears Mugabe and his cabal have since 1980 adopted a tactic to vilify anyone who becomes popular than him by making claims that the person want to kill him.

The PF member who preferred not to be named said said at some point Mugabe accused late Vice President Joshua Nkomo of terrorism and even arrested Zapu leader Dumiso Dabengwa and Lookout Masuku over arms cache.

He said Mugabe also accused late Zanu Ndonga leader Ndabaningi Sithole of same allegation.

"Lets talk about MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai  who won the 2008 elections because he had become popular than Mugabe," said the PF member.

"He was once charged with treason for plotting to kill Mugabe and they hired Ari Ben-Menashe a Canadian-based political consultant  to come and lie about him in court here. Now it is Mujuru a woman of great virtue who has never insulted anyone, a woman who has never responded with insult to those who insulted her, they claim she wanted to kill Mugabe just because she had become popular than him."

He said when Mugabe realities that someone has become sop popular than him he creates assassination allegations against that person to divert people's support from that person.

He challenged the PF supporters to remain focused and support Mujuru.

"I know that Mujuru come 2018 she will romp to victory  and i have done a survey country wide , it revealed that the most popular politician in the country now is Mujuru," he said.

"Ask the vendor on the street he will tell you that."
