One handed boy joins boxing school

A Nharira Primary School grade two student, Samuel Mlambo has shown that with passion, belief and dedication nothing is impossible after joining a boxing school in Mbare, Harare.
Samuel was only two years old when his hand was amputated after a medical procedure went terribly wrong.
Samuel's mother passed away when he was still young and the cheerful boy stays with his great grandmother in Mbare.
Despite being amputated, Samuel has remained positive about life, joining older colleagues at Mbare Boxing School of Excellence.
Like others, young boy trains every day after school and his coach, Arifonso Zvenyika is touched by the 7-year old's enthusiasm.
For Samuel, becoming a boxer of note is a dream he hopes will transform into reality.
For some, possessing a single hand makes it virtually impossible to pursue a path in boxing but instead of accepting other people's opinions as the truth, the young Samuel is determined to beat the odds and perhaps one day represent the country at paralympic games.
