The First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe who is patron of Danhiko Annual Paralympic Games has commissioned a new borehole and a 38 seater bus at the Danhiko premises in Msasa.
The borehole was donated to the institution by the Mabvuku-Tafara community share ownership trust after a cement manufacturing company in the area Lafarge contributed some US$333 000 to the trust's pledge of US$1 million.
The Share Ownership Trust is under the custody of Harare Metropolitan Province Resident Minister, Cde Miriam Chikukwa who was among the dignitaries who attended the games this Saturday.
Other government ministers in attendance were ministers Stembiso Nyoni, Lazarus Dokora, Chiefs Musarurwa, Chikwaka, Chinamhora, Tome of Zvimba and the former governor of the RBZ, Dr Gideon Gono and Dr Herbet Murerwa.
Amai went on to commission a 38 seater bus donated by ZESA Holdings to ease the transportation of students when they go on study tours and sporting competitions.
However after the commissioning she was intercepted by a Mutoko man, Mr Never Kasasa who donated 62 indigenous trees seedlings and requested to go and plant them for Amai at the children's home in Mazowe.
Mr Kasasa did a similar fit in Masvingo during President Mugabe's birthday when he donated 92 trees to him saying each tree stood for every one of the years' he has lived.
Authorities at Danhiko briefed Amai on the progress and challenges that the school has encountered in the last one year with Minister Makhosini Hlongwane Hlongwane hailing Amai for helping the institution and the games to be where they are today.
