The financially broke Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (Zimdef) has placed one of its prized Harare building on sale.
The six story building Kuwirirana House, located in the heart of the Central Business District has an asking price of $1,7 million.
Kuwirirana House covers 654 square metres of land and office space is 892 square metres, shop space 362 square metres while building area is 1 254 squares metres.
Knight Frank Estate Agents has been picked to sell the building.
"The building has reinforced concrete structure with brick infill walls. The building offers a good return on investment and is located along George Silundika Avenue in the heart of the CBD and enjoys huge pedestrian traffic," Knight Frank said.
Recently, Zimdef officials said about 200 workers face retrenchment as the department is facing financial challenges.
This also comes amid massive financial looting by top parent ministry officials.
Higher Education minister Jonathan Moyo and his deputy Godfrey Gandiwa and other officials are facing fraud charges stemming from looting Zimdef funds.
