Thieves break into magistrates' homes in broad daylight

Suspected thieves allegedly broke into the homes of two Plumtree magistrates in broad daylight while the judicial officers were away at court, delivering justice.

Sources close to the investigation revealed that the two magistrates, Aline Munamati and Joshua Nembaware, had left for work yesterday morning, locking and securing their respective homes before proceeding to court.

Upon returning later in the day, the magistrates reportedly found their doors broken and their belongings scattered throughout their houses.

Police have confirmed receiving the report and said investigations are ongoing. They have not yet determined whether anything was stolen during the break-ins.

This incident adds to a concerning trend, as judicial officers have increasingly become targets of criminal activity. Last year, Bindura magistrate Felix Chauromwe was robbed at gunpoint and lost several valuable possessions.
