MBUSO Sibanda, son of the MDC-T former Vice President Gibson Sibanda who was arrested a week ago by police in Filabusi and released after five days has been summoned to appear in court on March 24 to face the stock theft charges.
Sibanda had been arrested on March 2 this year before being released and told that he will be summoned when the state is ready to prosecute the case.
He was arrested in Silalatshani while in the company of his aunt around 11 am.
A court official yesterday said Sibanda has been issued with summons to appear before Filabusi magistrate Mzingaye Moyo charged with the stock theft after he allegedly stole a cow belonging to a villager Obey Masilela of Masiyaphambili Village in Silalatshani.
He is alleged to have sold the beast to Masilela sometime in October 2013 and after Masilela collected it, it ran away back to Sibanda's home. It is alleged that when Masilela went several time to collect it Sibanda refused with it and a report was made to the police leading to his arrest.
