A man has been jailed for threatening to shoot two Mormons who knocked on his door.
Donald Ewers, 47, a father of 17, pointed an imitation handgun at the missionaries on his doorstep and said: "Don't mess about. I have a gun. I'll f****** kill you."
Gloucester crown court heard on Thursday how Paulus Chardon and Cameron Kramer knocked on Ewers' door in Cromwell Street – the same road made infamous by serial killer Fred West and his "house of horrors" – in December last year.
They were looking for a man named Roger but instead found Jamaican-born Ewers.
The men gave him a Book of Mormon but Ewers then produced a BB handgun.
As he pointed it and made threats, the Mormons spoke about Olympic hero Usain Bolt before Mr Chardon added: "We come in peace."
They left and Ewers was later arrested.
He denied the allegations but was sentenced to 17 months in jail.
