'Bedroom Coup': Madame Mugabe an 'acceptable' successor?
01 Mar 2017 at 14:18hrs | Views
Before Jabulani Sibanda screamed, "bedroom coup!", Cde Paul Siwela had already predicted and warned Matabeles to prepare for the looming and inevitable Grace Mugabe take over which at the time, was being plotted behind the closed boardroom or bedroom doors.
Now that body guards, state helicopters and convoys are dispatched for Grace Mugabe's use during rallies held across the country, it is clear to all and sundry that she is destined for the highest office in the land.
President Mugabe who watches all proceedings from a secret venue would describe his wife as a dynamite, fireworks and acceptable. Who can argue at this point in time that Grace has passed the manipulated political test?
In reality MLO does not give a damn who takes the reins of power in Zimbabwe neither do we care who loses. Firstly, because Zimbabwe is our neighbour, what they do is none of our business. Secondly, because Zimbabwe is a hotbed of genocide, rape, corruption, immorality, anarchy, chaos, tribal and racial discrimination.
No one in the 21st century can learn or draw any inspiration from the ancient politics of Zimbabwe which do not have a place in the present civilised generation save for students of history and political science who shall study Zimbabwe as a typical example a failed state. A breadbasket which was reduced to a basket case. A dictatorship that slipped from the firm hands of minority white supremacy and fell into the rough claws of Shona supremacy.
Thirdly and very important, we are not Zimbabweans. Zimbabwe aka Mashonaland and Matabeleland alias Mthwakazi were never one entity. The two separate states were illegally combined by the colonialists in 1923 merely to exercise the rule by conquest and for administrative and economic reasons without the consent of either Matebele or Shona people.
Mashonaland aka Zimbabwe was peacefully occupied by the BSA Co on 13 September 1890. It is true that on this very day the Union Jack flag was raised by overjoyed BSA Co mercenaries amid applauds and whistles of appreciation by native Shona people. A sign that Mashonaland was now a British protectorate. No resistance, no questions. Nothing. What a walk over! Even the colonisers could not believe their luck.
On 3 November 1893 Matabeleland was occupied through conquest after an unprovoked war that pitted Matabele warriors armed with spears and shields against BSA Co mercenaries and Shona sell outs armed with guns.
In Matabeleland, British South Africa Company flag was tied to a tree at a site in Bulawayo close to the present day City Hall instead of the Union Jack flag that was officially raised in Mashonaland, symbolising the conquest.
As things stand, history has it that in the 19th century, the Shona people ganged up with imperialists as batmen and impimpis to destroy the Kingdom of Matabeleland and killed more than 12 000 innocent civilians. In the 1980s they unleashed Zimbabwe National Army 5th Brigade which was composed of almost all Shonas and ably assisted by Zimbabwe Republic Police Support Unit, Zimbabwe Central Intelligence Organisation and Zanupf Youth Brigade that brutally murdered more 40 000 innocent civilians, raped more than 100 000 women and adolescent girls, torched more than 100 000 homes and displaced more than a million people.
As if the acts or genocide and barbarism were not enough, those who murdered with the intention of annihilating Matebeles still walk the streets and boast about their evil acts whenever they feel like. They continue to terrorise, intimidate, dehumanise, demonise, marginalise and treat Matebeles as sub-humans. Matebeles live in fear and only God in heaven knows when the third genocide will happen.
As MLO we have been concentrating on the direction of power in Zimbabwe. Our President, Cde Paul Siwela was not economic with the truth for he predicted the movement of power in Zanu- pf and made it public. He wrote in September 2015, "It became clear to some of us a long time ago that Grace Mugabe would become the president of Zimbabwe while her husband, President Robert Mugabe shall retain the presidency of Zanu-pf indefinitely."
"It is unfortunate that many failed to see the picture in time as they were blinded by Morgan Tsvangirai euphoria and later Joyce Mujuru and currently Emmerson Mnangagwa elevation to be Vice President."
"History is repeating itself, Mashonaland is reverting back to its original form where there was no central authority to govern the diverse Shona people." End quote.
It is for this reason that MLO has repeatedly shouted the slogan, " The Republic of Matabeleland by 2018!" It is for the same reason that the British government under the leadership of David Cameron and the government of Zimbabwe under the leadership of Robert Gabriel Mugabe were served with Notices of Demand for The Restoration of Matabeleland State on 5 december and 7 december 2015 by MLO President Cde Paul Siwela.
Both countries acknowledged receipt and one responded positively the other did not respond for obvious reasons but that does not change the purpose of The Notice of Demand.
Through The Notice of Demand for The Restoration of The State of Matabeleland, both the coloniser (Britain) and her proxy (Zimbabwe) been reminded that we were not willing partners to the mythical creation, Rhodesia, and its identical successor, Zimbabwe and that we want out of Zimbabwe as soon as yesterday.
We are not willing to be part of this deceptive so called new Zimbabwe that would be ushered in by the "Bedroom Coup" and led by Grace Mugabe.
The Zimbabwe government should cooperate with MLO regarding The Notice of Demand for The Restoration of Matabeleland State to negotiate a peaceful settlement that will see Matabeleland and Zimbabwe parting ways without engaging in unnecessary conflict.
Playing hide and seek with the aim of frustrating this peaceful move on the part of Zimbabwe will only radicalise the people of Matabeleland who's tempers have already reached boiling point due to oppression.
MLO would not be held responsible for the costly civil war that would claim casualties on both sides and reduce economically ailing Zimbabwe to a pile of rubble.
