Newborn dumped in hole

18 May 2017 at 12:13hrs | Views
In an incident of suspected child dumping, a newly born baby has been discovered by a herdboy near Musiningira Primary School in Mberengwa, Midlands.

It is so disheartening and pathetic how some are dumping children while some are going wherever they can to have children. Some have even fallen prey to dubious prophets' shenanigans in a bid to get help to be able to conceive. But some are disgustingly throwing away innocent lovely gifts just like that.

Meanwhile, police at the nearby base at Masase have appealled to the pubic to come forth with any information that may help locate the heartless mother.

The mother is thought to have been coming from nearby Masase Mission Hospital, about 6 kilometres from the location of discovery.

Pupils at the nearest high school, Vubwe, have been questioned by the teachers at the school in a bid to squeeze out any information in case the baby has been dumped by one of the pupils.

Police are yet to engage the surrounding schools children to establish the identify and whereabouts of the ruthless mother.

It is always advisable to give up one's child for adoption should one feel she can't provide for their child. Counselling for mothers-to-be, especially of unplanned pregnancies, should be a must to protect the unborn babies and save lives.
