Poem: Who Are You Oh Africa?

03 Nov 2017 at 06:11hrs | Views
OH Africa, OH Africa, Who are you?
The continent of my fore – fathers!
The continent of my mothers!
The continent of my sisters!
The continent of my brothers!

Oh Africa, OH Africa, Who are you?
A continent endowed with so many natural resources,
A continent with hardworking people,
A continent with great minds,
A continent of black and beautiful peoples.

OH Africa, OH Africa, Who are you?
Arise and defend the African cause!
Arise and safeguard your continent's integrity and identity!
Arise and liberate yourselves from the shackles of modern imperialism!
Arise and unite peoples of the soil!

OH Africa, OH Africa, Who are you?
You are not cultureless!
You are not schizophrenic!
You are not weak political, economic, social and religious minded!
You are not disunited neither are you corrupt!
