Mwonzora halfway digging his political career

13 Dec 2021 at 09:02hrs | Views
MDC-T leader Mr Douglas Mwonzora who calls himself a democratic constitutionalist advocating for politics of rational disputation is at it again, salivating to by-pass and mutilate the pillars of the laws of the country to become a Prime Minister, a position which does not even exist in the constitution.

Mwonzora cannot fool the electorate to try and come into office through the back door. He must go through the test of an election.

It's a ploy to avoid elections by whatever means which neither he Mwonzora nor Zanu PF want. Which is quite telling, it means they are convinced they would lose this election.

The MDC-T leader is now half way digging his political grave and the manifestation of his insatiable appetite for power is slowly showing signs. It is very easy to read Mwonzora's next step because he does not even know how to conceal. He is somewhat an excited leader who is driven by feelings than maturity.

The cat is now out of its bag and it's unfortunate that nearly the whole country is now aware that Mr Mwonzora is being assisted by Zanu PF. Douglas Mwonzora is trying to test the depth of the river by using both legs.

The MDC-T leader is under the delusion that he is extremely intelligent and can fool the electorate to think that he is a messiah and the missing link in solving the political and economic challenges facing the country. Mwonzora does not even care of the whole nation but to satisfy his personal ego.

Mwonzora is trying to short circuit his progress to power as shown by his ambitious to be a Prime Minister without being tested in any election. He is very selfish and always thinking about himself.

Zimbabweans know who the real opposition leader is not that one umbilically attached to Zanu PF.

In his last statement Mwonzora said he was going to win the Presidential election by 60% and today he changes and now aspiring to be a Prime Minister. This shows that he is not a serious contender and that his desires for power are driven by selfishness.

Zimbabweans have done and dusted this whole idea of a GNU. They cannot afford for the second time to be fooled and yoked by a GNU trap. On what capacity is this MDC-T leader pushing for a government of national unity with President Emmerson Mnangagwa?

Mr Mwonzora must not find solace on  riding on the late Morgan Tsvangirayi's political legacy or trajectory but must start his own homogenous political journey.
