VP Mphoko not a sellout
16 Dec 2014 at 17:08hrs | Views
No amount of lies or smear campaign can turn VP Mphoko into a sell out. No genuine former ZPRA commander or soldier can support those lies, except former Rhodesian Special Branch personnel who were doing their work amongst us.
These are the same people who claimed that Rogers Mangena, former ZPRA commander was an enemy agent.
VP MPHOKO, never joined any political party except ZAPU. In 1987, he became a member of ZANU PF in Unity, and continue to be a member of ZAPU in ZANU PF. At independence, in 1980, the party ZAPU, appointed him Director for Affrica, the late Edward Mhambi, was appointed Director for the Gulf States and the late Maloa Noko was appointed Director for the Midle East.
VP Mphoko, and many other genuine commanders of former ZPRA were left out at independence as ZPRA impersonators were writing a new history. He joined Government in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare in November 1981 as Deputy Directorfor Demobilisation on merit. It is a known fact that VP Mphoko brought into Demob other former ZPRA commanders that had been left out like Cephas Cele and Same Moyo. When Demob. ended in 1985, he was transferred to the Diplomatic section of the President's Department and posted to Mozambique.
The late Victor Mlambo and the late Gorden Butshe were seconded to CIO by
Dumiso Dabengwa in 1980.
Can Dumiso Dabengwa deny that VP Mphoko together with Dabengwa were together at the Lancester House Peace Talks as ZPRA military delegates yet he was no longer in ZAPU and ZPRA can Dabengwa dispute that him and the late Herbert Ushewekunze set at the military conference as political representatives and the late comrade Akim Ndlovu P.V. Sibanda and VP Mphoko represented ZPRA and Josiah Tongogara, Josiah Tungamirai and Mark Dube represented ZANLA.
Its no secret that grapes are sour Mr. Dabengwa. Because the man you have always despised has landed the post of Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe. It could have been you.
Mr. Dabengwa, VP Mphoko is a creation of God. You might wish him all sort of bad things like lying that VP Mphoko deserted the struggle. You should be ashamed of lying.
