MDC-T politicises Dzamara's disappearance

Itai Dzamara at the Africa Unity Square, Harare
The missing of Itai Dzamara, a journalist-cum MDC-T activist, has been unnecessarily politicised. Our parliamentarians have actually misplaced priority in parliament this week and spent precious time trying to put political linkages in the missing of Dzamara.
To me, it does not add up. Who said Zanu PF and the state security agents are accountable for every disappearance that takes place in this country. In all earnest, why would the state security abduct Dzamara, a harmless citizen seeking political relevance through the usual Mugabe must go rhetoric.
Many other people have done what Dzamara has been doing without any threat to their lives. The young man is not in any way a security threat to the nation. Thus, the state security agents would not waste time on him.
If Zanu PF and the state security agents wanted to abduct political foes, they could have abducted Tsvangirai himself. The truth is that the MDC-T and its splinter factions no longer pose any threat to Zanu PF. The revolutionary party has a mammoth task of mending the economy that was decimated by the sanctions that the MDC-T called for.
People must explore other possible causes of this disappearance before splashing mud on Zanu PF and the state security agents. There is a possibility that Dzamara could have been abducted by people he grieved. It is a plausible possibility given the lifestyle that the journalist lived.
We had a case of O'Neal Tinashe Magorimbo who was kidnapped and subsequently killed. Some people could have rushed to see the hand of the state security agents in his death had it not quickly turned that Magorimbo was allegedly killed by Taurai Jani and Mohammed Matare at the instigation of the Star FM DJ, Munyaradzi Mlimo.
People now have the tendency of committing crimes knowing very well that they would hide behind state security agents. As Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa put it in parliament, government is equally pained by the disappearance of Dzamara. He promised that the relevant authorities would do anything possible to book the culprits.
Unfortunately, the MDC-T wants to divert the attention and throw spanners in the investigation process. This leaves us with another suspicion that the disappearance could have been stage-managed in order to get political mileage. MDC-T is very good at that.
In 2013, the MDC-T sought political mileage through the death of an innocent 12-year-old boy, Christpower Maisiri. The MDC-T accused Zanu PF of killing the boy because of his father's political inclinations. May that boy rest in peace and I am sure he turned in his grave when his death was politicised with the consent of his father.
We have heard so many fabricated murder stories that fingered out Zanu PF and the state security agents. Readers may remember the case of Brandina Tadyenemhandu of Magunje. The MDC-T and its political partners in the media and abroad alleged that Zanu PF beheaded Tadyenemhandu in the full glare of her children.
That demon of lying is still haunting the MDC-T and its lap dog media. Both no longer have anything new to feed the nation, thus, they thrive on lies. As much as we condemn the kidnapping of innocent people, we equally condemn the baseless accusation of innocent people and organisations.
