Open letter to Delta Coaches management

Dear Delta coaches management,
On the 13th of May 2019 I used a Delta coach from Bulawayo to Johannesburg (Bus Registration HD 64 FG - GP) and I would like to register my displeasure to the Delta Coaches management.

We were bombarded by music videos from Mashonaland based artists throughout the trip as if Mashonaland was the only region in the country. It was indeed a disgusting experience considering that the bus is operating a route in the heart of Matebeleland.

Not even a single Ndebele Artist's musical video was played and if this is not suspicious I don't know what is. I wonder what the reaction of the passengers would be if you play musical videos from Matebeleland based Artists in a Harare – Joburg bus.

I looked at the passenger list that they circulate and I noticed that all the twenty six passengers' names indicated that everyone was of Ndebele origin. It therefore boggles the mind why the bus crew would assume playing music videos from Mashonaland Artist throughout the trip would entertain their passengers.

I am quite aware that there might not be a lot of musical videos from other regions but this deliberate sabotaging of Artists from other regions is not helping. Musical videos play a crucial role in giving Artists the exposure they need.

Please give Artists of all regions a fare opportunity to access the market and consider the interests of your passengers as you select those music videos. We do not want to be bringing up tribal issues every time but surely one cannot help but notice the tribal connotations of your music selection.

Delta management please attend to this issue as the continuation of this anomaly would be viewed as a deliberate strategy to disrespect and insult your passengers and Artists from other regions of the country and this may have catastrophic consequences on your business.

We would appreciate having musical videos in our own language played in your buses.

Phela yibumbulu lobu elibenzayo, thina asifuni bumbulu.
